We mommies really have to be on our toes all the time. I did my grocery shopping this morning at Shopwise Makati. As usual I would just let the cashier scan all my purchases while I was busy putting my other purchases on her shelf. When I got to my car and looked at the receipt I noticed that the rice I bought registered 4 kilos when I just bought 2 kilos.I immediately went to their Customer Service and they verified with the cashier that the item was indeed scanned and not manually typed. They said that the bar code, when folded does get a wrong reading. The girl said it rarely happens it's just because of the folded bar code. Hmmm still sounds fishy to me. If the bar code is folded it should read error instead of doubling the purchase I made. Oh well what can I do but blog about it here.
